This entry is more about how I created the theme for his party. If you know us well you know we are Gators, we bleed orange and blue! So naturally Ben's first birthday theme was gator!

| All starts with a cute invite. |
I did the invites using a card kit I found at Target that came with cards, envelopes, and the green paper. I cut out the gator from one I found on the website I ordered his shirt from. (So they matched)

| I decorated with his monthly picture next to his gator (Albert). |
I got the cable and kit from Ikea, it worked out perfectly to hang all the pictures I took of him each month to show how much he's grown and changed.
With my sister's help and the help of
Hello Cupcake we decorated the cupcakes as gators.
I made 3 kinds of cupcakes:
Vanilla,
Hot Chocolate, and
Applesauce with
Buttercream frosting. For the gator shaped "cake" I made 24 mini cupcakes and we laid them out on a cookie sheet, the scales were Oreo cookie 100 calorie packs, the teeth were shaped marshmellows, and the eyes were frosting and M&Ms.
